Dark Project KD68B White / Navy Blue - G3MS Mech. RGB (ENG)
KD68B Description:
The ultra-compact 65% keyboard is endowed with factory-lubed G3ms Sapphire mechanical switches, double-shot PBT keycaps with ENG characters, Fully customizable RGB backlighting, greased PCB mount stabilizers, as well as a dual-layer soundproofing solution to cancel out unpleasant sounds.
68 keys
A 65% keyboard allows its user to maximize desk space. It combines the idea of a 60% keyboard as well as the usefulness of the Delete, Home/End, and Page Up/Down keys. An experienced gamer would remap these side keys to use as macros. A 65% form is the perfect blend between minimum size and usefulness.
G3ms Sapphire Mechanical switches
G3ms switches are the first switches designed by the Dark Project engineering team. The improved design has a smaller connection area between the stem (moving part) and the housing, thereby the friction area has been reduced. G3ms Sapphire switches are lubricated during the manufacturing process to ensure maximum smoothness and reduction of any unpleasant sounds
Actuation force - 50g
Pre-travel - 2 mm
Durability - 50 million keystrokes
Layout - ENG
Profile - Cherry
Keycap Material - PBT (polybutylene terephthalate). PBT plastic is highly resistant to chemicals. Because of this, it is far more durable and abrasion resistant than ABS.
Manufacturing technology - Double-Shot (double casting). The keycap consists of 2 separate plastic molds. Under high temperatures and pressure, these plastic molds are combined. Using this method ensures that the symbols on the keycaps will never be erased, even after long and intensive use.
Dual-layer Noise Isolation
There are 3 key components inside the Keyboard Case; The top and bottom covers (housing), the main supporting structure (chassis plate), and the printed circuit board (PCB). Dual-layer sound insulation is implemented where the printed circuit board (PCB) is attached to the main supporting structure (chassis plate) as well as between the chassis plate and the bottom cover of the housing. The noise insulation that is between these parts is made from silicone.
Hot-Swappable
HotSwap technology allows the user to replace the switches without disassembling the keyboard. There's no need for a desoldering iron anymore. Having easily replaceable switches doesn't only increase its maintainability but also offers the user the ability to fully customize the keyboard.
16.8 million RGB colors
Bright RGB backlight with a wide range of fully customizable effects. A separate diode under each key provides a directional light beam, the intensity, and brightness can be regulated by the Dark Project software. You can also change the RGB backlight settings by pressing the pre-set key shortcuts that are listed in your manual.
Greased stabilizers
During the keyboard's assembly process on the conveyor system, the stabilizers are greased, by hand. Greased stabilizers provide a smooth, pleasant feeling when pressed. Not only are they tactilely pleasant but also produce a pleasant sound, thanks to the grease.
