Who is Lara Croft?
Created by Toby Gard and the team at Core Design studio, Lara Croft debuted in 1996 as the protagonist of the Tomb Raider videogame series by Square Enix. Lara was born into an English aristocratic family but never had an interest in high society, which she finds boring and suffocating. Her curiosity and interest in delving into the secrets of the past and finding the unbelievable made Lara become an adventurous treasure-hunting archaeologist. Her adventures and expeditions in search of some of the world's most powerful and dangerous artifacts have taken her to the most mysterious places in the history of Earth. Lara constantly faces adversaries in the form of groups and individuals seeking the same relics for nefarious purposes, such as cults of religious fanatics, mad scientists, mobsters, dangerous animals, legendary creatures, and supernatural beings. Inspired by the legendary cinematic hero Indiana Jones, Lara Croft has become one of the most iconic modern heroes, giving rise to a franchise that, in addition to numerous games, has originated three films, two of them starring actress Angelina Jolie in 2001 and 2003, with a reboot in 2018 starring Alicia Vikander, an animated series in 2007, comic books, and various collectibles.

Exploring the Lara Croft statue:
At the heart of a long-unexplored jungle, ruins of an ancient civilization hide among the vegetation, where roots and vines cling to stone totems adorned with sculptures of symbols and beasts. With the highlighted top preserving the reddish and golden tones of its original paint, scaling one of these ancestral totems, a fearless British archaeologist drives her climbing axe into the stones of the structure, gripping with her extended left arm, and holding in her right wrist the options of another climbing axe or one of her 9mm pistols, which, when the axe is the chosen option, has the possibility of being put in a holster on her leg.
